Reflection
It’s amazing to think how powerful God’s glory and presence is after reading a verse like this. One of the struggles people have always faced is how to live in God’s presence without getting drawn into the world, convinced that we couldn’t survive without it. Yet here in Revelation, God shows us a future where His glory alone gives light, where the sun and moon are no longer needed. These are things we instinctively, and can even logically prove through science, believe life depends on, yet we’re reminded quite plainly that it isn’t celestial bodies or chemical processes that give us life. It is God who gives us life, and ultimately, He is all we need.
Today’s quest
Today, intentionally choose a short moment to sit in stillness with God. Put away anything that usually fills the space, your phone, TV, work, etc, even if it’s just for a few minutes. You don’t need to do or say anything special. Simply acknowledge the Lord's presence and exist in His glory.
